Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage project timelines.
- Monitor progress and ensure adherence to project goals.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients effectively.
- Drive business development activities, including selling new work and client outreach.
- Draft proposals for new projects.
- Create change orders and track project budgets.
- Allocate resources across the project team.
- Serve as the main point of contact for engineers, drafters, and designers.
- Approve and edit timesheets for all direct reports.
- Lead internal and external meetings related to project scope and schedule.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 10+ years in electric distribution engineering, preferably with utilities or consulting firms.
- 4–5 years of project management experience or experience as a lead engineer on a project.
- Experience working with major investor-owned utilities in the United States.
- PMP Certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, CYME, or similar distribution modeling tools.
- Strong knowledge of NESC, NEC, and utility design standards.
- Ability to specify portions of engineering systems based on prior experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
