We at Verdantas seeking for Data Engineer. A Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and high‑performance data systems. The role focuses on developing efficient ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality, managing data storage systems, and enabling analytics, reporting, and machine-learning use cases. This position collaborates closely with data scientists, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data availability and accessibility. The position requires in-office work in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
📋 Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python 1 2.
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Flink) 1.
- Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) 1.
- Experience working with ETL/ELT orchestration tools.
- Understanding of data modeling, metadata management, and governance.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate complex data topics to non‑technical audiences 4.
- Collaborative mindset and stakeholder engagement skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or equivalent.
- Typically 3–8+ years of hands-on data engineering experience (depending on level).
Preferred Certifications
- Google Professional Data Engineer
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
- AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
